My interest in personal training comes from a lifetime of athletic involvement. Growing up as an avid baseball player, I learned the importance of strength and conditioning as well as proper health and nutrition at a young age. Thru the years I have kept a healthy lifestyle by making fitness and amateur sports my pastimes. My philosophy of personal training is this: It’s all about you, my client. I start by assessing your individual needs and personal goals – that’s the first step to becoming a healthier you. My goal as your trainer is to involve you in a dynamic and creative workout plan that will not only keep your attention but will translate into a passion for lifelong healthy living.

Kenny Carlucci
I began my athletic career in 1983 instructing gymnastics in Middletown, NY. I quickly learned the correlation of strength and optimum performance and was invited to coach boys and girls competitive teams. In 1985 I enrolled at Ohio State University and “walked on” to the Men’s gymnastics team. While at Ohio State I also taught the Phys-Ed Major’s gymnastics classes as well as the intramural gymnastics team. In 1986 I accepted a position at Karolyi’s Gymnastics, here in Houston, Texas. Here I coached all levels of gymnastics from pre-school, recreation programs, and cheerleading to beginner through high level competitive teams. Many athletes I instructed continued on to National and International competition. I stayed with Karolyi’s until I encountered the Mazeika family and accepted a position in their new facility where I was free to develop my own programs and style of coaching based on the premise of strength building confidence building enhanced performance.

I now am starting a new path as a NASM Certified Personal Trainer here at Crew Health and Fitness. At 46 years old I am proof that a foundation of strength and conditioning are the key to continued health and longevity. I can help you find your balance of core strength and apply that strength to whatever your goals may be. If you are just starting a new path to improved health or if you are already a “weekend athlete” I can help you reach your goals and improve your life. Let’s unleash your greatest potential together!

I have been training people since 10th grade in high school in Vietnam. Since I was 16 years old I have been a certified black belt in Kung fu and kickboxing. I moved to the USA in 1975 and have continued to teach and train. I have also been called “Abs master”, Mr. Miyagi, Mr. Grasshopper…But I call myself “The Vietnamese Jack Lalane”, because he’s my Idol.

In the beginning, like everyone else I used bodybuilding protocols as my training principles. But as I grow older I’ve realized there is more to fitness than just getting bigger. The quest for better fitness training has led me to change my philosophy drastically.

The last three years, I have researched and observed how the culture of Vietnam keeps people slim without really doing any exercise. This has led me to invent the “After Dinner Exercise Program”. With this program, ADEP for short, a person will not only become slimmer and healthier, but will also save time and money as well. The intensity level is easy enough to help 95% or more of the general population sustain their training regimens day after day. I believe in the ADEP principles so much that I am willing to stay late and train in the evening to give my clients the greatest benefit possible. Please contact me for more details and I will be glad to help you out.
